Japanese Knitted Slippers from Michiyo with Gayle Roehm
The new book Japanese Knitting: Patterns for Sweaters, Scarves and More, by Michiyo, includes a pair of cleverly constructed cabled slippers, in aran- or worsted-weight yarn. The slippers are knit flat and seamed and easily adaptable to a range of sizes.
We'll look at how they're put together, and create a foot template to adapt the pattern to each person's individual size. We'll knit as far as we can during class to be sure that you'll be able to complete them at home. The pattern will be provided; you do not need to purchase the book.
Note: You MUST be comfortable knitting from charts.
