An Intro to Kumihimo with Gwen Bortner
The ancient Japanese craft of Kumihimo creates a beautiful unique cord, perfect for using up bits of left-over yarns. We will focus on learning the basics of creating a Kumihimo braid. A variety of samples showing the possibilities of combining of colors and fibers will also be provided. Then we will discuss options for using the cords to create buttons, ties, frogs and other custom closures.

Get a taste of the basics of Kumihimo and leave inspired by the boundless possibilities for those small amounts of leftover fiber!


Supplies
__Few yds each of 4 different colors of smooth yarn all of a similar weight
__Scissors

None.

Materials Fee: $10 for Kumihimo Disk, EZ Bobs, and detailed instructions in a handy vinyl carrying case.
