You Can Sew! Tote Bag with Jennifer Stern-Hasemann
During this fun class we will be making a tote bag as we explore all the cool things you can do on a sewing machine. Learn how to finish raw edges, create a blind hem (while finishing the top edge of the patch pocket), and pick up some topstitching tips. Before putting the lining together, Jennifer will show you an easy way to create a pocket with a zipper closure. Learn to work with fusible interfacing and Wonder Tape to get perfect results. After attaching the straps, you'll use a variety of seam techniques to sew the tote bag together. You'll leave class with a completed tote that will come in handy in the Market! Note: Machines provided for use in class. Supplies

Note: $20.00 materials fee will be collected in class. Kit includes everything needed to make your bag: precut bag, lining, pocket pieces, straps, zipper, fusible interfacing, and Wonder Tape Skills needed
