Stitches West 2005
Eat Knit Die. The shirt says it all. When I saw them I laughed. It's true, for the next 4 days life at Stitches is all about the essential, the inevitable and KNITTING!
My kids didn't get it, and I was still laughing. When did I change? When Tim (T.T.U.G.--Tim the Unix Genius, to those of you who go back a ways) commented that knitters wouldn’t appreciate it I was yanked back 30 years. All the stereotypical gray-haired, bunned grannies, rocking and knitting with their knee-high nylons falling down (and they were knitting with 70's acrylic rainbow variegated yarn) came flooding back.
Those are not the knitters I've come to know.
My guess is you'll laugh too, you happy, know how to live, know what's really important kind of people. Welcome to Stitches West 2005. Let's do what comes naturally!
Enjoy,
