Hello Fiber Enthusiasts!

It’s that time again! We know you’ve been patiently waiting for the preview of STITCHES South 2012 (held at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel & Cobb Galleria Center in Atlanta, GA from April 19-22, 2012) and we’re happy to announce that the brochure & preview are online today. Registration for the show will open at 9:00 am (central time) on November 22, 2011.

1We’ve gone digital for our class & events brochures. And we’ve taken this opportunity to expand the brochure with more in-depth teacher bios, details and pictures of the events, and expanded class descriptions. We hope that these changes make your class selection process a little easier.

If you’d like to look through the classes, events, and packages via our online registration system (which will allow you to search by teacher, day, and/or subject), we have turned on the preview mode for your convenience. You can also download the 46 page 18 Mb STITCHES South 2012 Classes & Events brochure in zipped PDF format (complete with bookmarks & hyper-links) or you can view the brochure as separate JPEG files either on our Facebook photo album or as a set on Flickr.

We’ve also added a new feature on the website for those of you who want just the class listings (with links) without all of the pictures and keys. We now have a text only listing of the classes and events. For those of you who print the class listings off, we hope this will make your lives easier.

We’ve got a great show planned for South this year. Out of the 132 classes we’re offering, 73 of those are either brand new or new to this venue. We’re offering 12 crochet classes and another 8 classes that are for suited for both knitters and crocheters. These classes are being taught by 33 of the best designers and teachers in the industry (including NEW teachers to South like Marly Bird, Drew Emborsky, Sivia Harding, Brooke Nico, Shannon Okey, Kristin Omdahl, and Carol Sulcoski).

Our star-studded Opening Day program features designers Anna Zilboorg, Laura Bryant, Myra Wood, and Rick Mondragon in a design challenge we’re calling ‘Special Effects’. They’ll show you how to add character and dimension to knit fabric. Build on the basics of yarn and stitch choice. Then go beyond.

We hope you’ll join us for an incredible weekend.

That’s all for now. We can’t wait to see you at STITCHES!

Team STITCHES

P.S. Just a quick reminder… Early bird pricing for STITCHES West 2012 and West ETC 2012 ends on November 28, 2011. There are still some classes, events, and ETC workshops that are not sold out. We'd love to see you there.
