STITCHES West 2012 in Santa Clara, CA is only 9 days away. As always, we’ve put the STITCHES West 2012 Showbook online – and we have three download options for you. You can download the 80 page 24 Mb Showbook in zipped PDF format (complete with bookmarks & hyper-links) or you can view the Showbook as separate JPEG files either on our Facebook photo album or as a set on Flickr.
Of course, we’ll have plenty of free printed STITCHES West 2012 Showbooks at the Market entrance next week.
Most people think the Showbook is a guide for shopping. While it is that, it’s so much more. Within the pages you’ll find the ‘Market Schedule’ of some of the most inspiring people in the Knitting Universe while there with us at STITCHES.
For instance, seven of XRX Books authors will be at the show, not only doing book signings but also doing demos in the XRX, Inc. booth. You’ll have to go to page 28 of the showbook to find out who and when. Another twenty-six authors and designers, including Melissa Leapman, Cookie A, Lily Chin, Drew Emborsky, Ysolda Teague, Kristin Omdahl, and Marly Bird will be signing their books, patterns, and DVDs during the weekened. Again, you’ll have to go to page 29 to find out when and where.
If you’re a crocheter, you’ll probably want to check out pages 32-34 for a great listing of crochet designs, accessories, and books available in the Market. And if you’re eager to see the daily Market prizes that will be given away, then you’ll have to check them out on page 36.
XRX Books is premiering a new book, Betsy Beads by Betsy Hershberg at this show. And as a way to get you excited, we’ve included a FREE basic starter pattern, the ‘Keep it simple spiral' necklace from the book… you’ll find that pattern on pages 73-76.
These are just a handful of some of the most talented people and events the Market has to offer and that the Showbook will help you plan. Don’t worry shoppers… there’s still a lot of ads, coupons, and specials within the pages of the Showbook. With one of the largest lists of vendors that a STITCHES event has ever had—you won’t be disappointed in the offerings!
Oh… one last tip. If you didn't sign up for any of the STITCHES classes, Special Events, or Market Sessions, we want to remind you that you can purchase your Market entrance tickets online to save a few dollars and lots of time. Do you remember the long lines last year? Some of you waited in line for an hour. You don’t have to go through that! All you have to do is click on the Ticket (to the right) and the ticket store will walk you through the process. With your printed ticket in hand you can go directly to the door, have your ticket scanned, and start shopping right away.
P.S. And for those of you who have been wondering... YES! There will be a Pajama Party following the Fashion Show Dinner (around 10:00 pm) on Friday evening. This FREE event will be held in the Magnolia room over in the Hyatt. The amazingly talented Marly Bird will be our hostess for the evening. Her co-hostesses for the evening will be Shannon Dunbabin from Cascade Yarns and Jeannie Randolph-Duncan & Amy Olson from Fiesta Yarns!
