How to cast on

1 Hold one needle in your left hand (for left-hand instructions see The Knitting Experience).

2 Pinch the tail of the yarn in the hand also holding the needle, or anchor one stitch on the needle as a slipknot.

3 Wrap the yarn around your finger and slip the loop onto the needle.

4 Repeat until you have all the cast-on stitches you need.
