volume 3 issue 8

Whew! what a summer this has been. I have been all wrapped up in the KnittingUniverse, working toward a new look, and easier navigating for you, our surfers. You’ll see the results before long! That, and the absence of road trips, has kept me from my knitting projects for much of the summer. We’ve been house-bound, all packed up and no place to go. There is a wonderful consolation prize, however . . .

I will be looking forward to seeing many of you at Stitches Midwest. Although I won’t have much to show off, it's more important that I find things to bring back to show you through the KnittingUniverse (read: license to shop!). As we ease into our new look, watch for more to see, more often. More to do, and more freebies advertised in Knitter’s, available only at Knitter’s Online.

Getting to the point . . .

During my hiatus from knitting productivity, I have come to appreciate a love of the art of knitting, and the tools, outside of the finished product. "Think OUTSIDE the sweater." I love the fiber and colors, the beautiful books, and even the novel marketing, I love it all, and I am so inspired to see what YOU do. Stitches is such an inspirational time for me. I’m not too sad to not have something new to show—it’s what I’ll see, and what I’ll learn.

Hope to see you soon.

I’ll be bringing my empty needles, and my empty suitcase!

Natalie
