On Modular Knitting
Modular knitting is the process of knitting several small shapes that are joined together to create a garment or other object.
On Shapes
Modular sections can be almost any shape: squares, rectangles, triangles, strips and more! Modular is fun and rewarding – it's a bit like solving a jigsaw puzzle, planning and knitting so the shapes fit together.
On The Magic
To me, the entire craft of knitting is magic. The fact that two sticks and some yarn can produce such diversity is endlessly fascinating and enchanting.
On Color
Modular knitting loves color and so do I. It's an easy and excellent way to incorporate several colors and/or yarns into a single project. Handpainted yarns work especially well with modular knitting.
