Intermediate You should have worked with a few stitch patterns and should be familiar wtih basic garment shaping.
Advanced You should have made several garments in various stitch patters and should comfortable making minor changes to patterns. Advanced is fun and challenging for thinking knitters.

Come join Galina as she introduces you to the magical hand-spinning techniques of Russian knitters that ultimately result in the creation of arguably the most luxurious shawls and scarves found in the knitting universe. In this hands-on workshop, the emphasis will be on the care, preparation and spinning of luxury fibers (cashmere, qiviut, buffalo, pygora, yak, etc) and the significance of gauging proper thickness and length while learning the more economical use of luxury fibers which will help you conserve precious yardage. Note: spindles will be provided for use during class. Materials fee: $5.00.
