Basic Know basic stitches (knit, purl or single crochet, double crochet).
Easy You should know the basics, how to increase and decrease, and have made at least one project.
Intermediate You should have worked with a few stitch patterns and should be familiar wtih basic garment shaping.
Advanced You should have made several garments in various stitch patters and should comfortable making minor changes to patterns. Advanced is fun and challenging for thinking knitters.

Brigitte Elliott
Brigitte Elliott has been knitting since age 9. She has a degree in fine art and spent much of her adult life raising three children and supporting her husband's business. Five years ago, when her kids were grown and her husband nearly retired, she fell in love with alpacas and their yarns, acquired several, and her passion for knitting was resurrected.
She began teaching in knitting stores in both Colorado and Florida. In 2010, she found an opportunity to learn a 'new' and exciting technique. It was so innovative that she went to Germany to learn Swing-Knitting from its creator and secured the rights to teach the technique in the U.S.A. After presenting the technique at TNNA Phoenix 2012, a surge of interest has launched invitations from yarn shops all over the U.S. Brigitte has also written several of her own patterns. She continues to create new works of art for her own Swing Knits®, as well as Skacel Collection, Inc and Knitter's Magazine.

559-6 Intermediate Swing Knitting: An innovative Approach to Short Rows
This is a basic class to introduce the student to a relatively new European fiber art form and knitting technique utilizing short rows. It has many applications such as wall art and wearable art. This technique can be applied to existing patterns to make them unique and personal. Once students have been introduced to the concept and it's innovative way of using a marking system, they can continue expanding their knowledge from existing, published patterns. A few time-saving and valuable tricks will be demonstrated to expand the student's knitting skills.
