Basic Know basic stitches (knit, purl or single crochet, double crochet).
Easy You should know the basics, how to increase and decrease, and have made at least one project.
Intermediate You should have worked with a few stitch patterns and should be familiar with basic garment shaping.
Advanced You should have made several garments in various stitch patterns and should be comfortable making minor changes to patterns. Advanced is fun and challenging for thinking knitters.
Esther is a full-time fiber artist from Mebane, North Carolina. She is known as a creative art yarn hand spinner and for her unique fiber preparation. Esther is also a felter, weaver, and knitter which gives her the perspective of how her yarns are going to be used. She is constantly innovating in her spinning techniques to create new textures and is on the cutting edge in terms of yarn design. Esther is an enthusiastic and patient teacher possessing both national and international teaching experience.

764-3 Easy Corespinning for Funk and Function
Ever wonder how to make that cloud of expensive cashmere go as far as possible, or how to spin those fun textured yarns? In this corespinning class youâ€™ll learn how to do both! Combining the fun with the function, corespinning is a wonderful way to make the most of your expensive fibers, as well as preserve texture and spin those funky art yarns â€” even the expensive tailspun yarns! As a bonus in this class we will talk about how these corespun yarns are used in knitting. Patterns will be provided, as well as knitted and woven samples will be available for examination and discussion.
Note: Must have a spinning wheel. Must be able to spin a single and know how to ply.
Optional materials fee: $30 for 4+oz carded fiber batt, 2oz mixed locks, embellishments and add in's.
