Basic Know basic stitches (knit, purl or single crochet, double crochet).
Easy You should know the basics, how to increase and decrease, and have made at least one project.
Intermediate You should have worked with a few stitch patterns and should be familiar wtih basic garment shaping.
Advanced You should have made several garments in various stitch patters and should comfortable making minor changes to patterns. Advanced is fun and challenging for thinking knitters.

Charles Gandy
Charles, a TKGA Master Knitter, learned to knit at the young age of four from his mother, a designer and shop owner. He designed his first sweater three years later and continues to create today. A two-time winner in the recent Knitter's Magazine "Think Outside the Sox" contest, three of his designs are featured in the new book of the same name: "Dread Sox", "Snake in the Grass" and "Pedicure Polka Socks". His own book, The Embellished Sock: Knitted Art for the Foot features 18 creative sock patterns and numerous techniques. His work is featured in numerous national publications, and he is a frequent teacher and lecturer at workshops and conferences nationwide.

Have you avoided knitting socks, thinking they might be too difficult? Or, are you frightened about those “scary” double point needles? Then this is the class for you. While you make a mini-sock (perfect for a holiday ornament!) We will investigate the basic “anatomy” of a sock, equipping you with knowledge and confidence so you can make your own socks without referring to a pattern. We will explore plenty of tricks and tips to take the fear out of working with DPNs (double point needles). We will even learn an easy way to do the never-can-remember “Kitchener Stitch.”
