Basic Know basic stitches (knit, purl or single crochet, double crochet).
Easy You should know the basics, how to increase and decrease, and have made at least one project.
Intermediate You should have worked with a few stitch patterns and should be familiar wtih basic garment shaping.
Advanced You should have made several garments in various stitch patters and should comfortable making minor changes to patterns. Advanced is fun and challenging for thinking knitters.
Antje Gillingham grew up in Germany and learned to knit at the age of eight. In 1982 she moved to the central coast of California, where she lived for the next 17 years. When her husband's job relocated the family to Tennessee, she rediscovered her infatuation with fiber and all that is knitting. Antje is the author of three best-selling books and has published patterns in several knitting magazines. Over the years, her travels have taken her all over the country, and along the way she has made many new friends who all share the same passion for knitting. It is these wonderful, like-minded souls who continue to inspire her to design, write and teach. When she isn't traveling or teaching at a variety of knitting workshops, she can be found relaxing at home...with knitting in hand.

If you look up the definition of BRIOCHE, the online dictionaries will tell you that it is a French yeast bread with a sweet flavor and light textureâ€”it's probably not the explanation you were hunting for to describe the origins of this wonderfully soft and stretchy form of ribbed knitting! In most cases, Brioche is worked in one or two color combinations and combines slipped stitches with the traditional knit/purl rib; some of you may know it as "Purl YO and stitch tog." Sounds easy enough, right? The knitting begins after you understand the pattern phrasing. Are you ready to try? Let's venture into this cozy layered texture together and explore the Brioche Stitch inside and out. Tips, tricks and practice will make it a great addition to your technical library!

Practice the anatomy of a sock in sections and get comfortable knitting socks two at a time on two circular needles from the cuff down. No more counting rows or experiencing the dreaded Second Sock Syndrome! And while we won't be able to finish a complete adult pair of socks in one day, we will have a lot of fun during this innovative workshop and by the time you get back to your hotel room, you will be ready to apply your class pattern and cast on your very own awesome pair of 2-at-a-time socks.
