Easy You should know the basics, how to increase and decrease, and have made at least one project.
Intermediate You should have worked with a few stitch patterns and should be familiar wtih basic garment shaping.
Advanced You should have made several garments in various stitch patters and should comfortable making minor changes to patterns. Advanced is fun and challenging for thinking knitters.
Anne Kuo Lukito
Anne fell into designing shortly after she taught herself to knit. Since then, Anne has been prolific in her designs. her work has appeared in several books and magazines, including Interweave Knits, Knitscene, Twist Collective and Knitting. Aside from teaching
and designing for and publishing her own pattern line, Anne recently started a small company, Crafty Diversions, which distributes other designers' patterns, books and products to yarn shops. Anne loves meeting other crafty people and teaching others the art of knitting.
She is based in sunny southern California. If it weren't for bouts of insomnia, Anne would never find time to knit or use up her abundance of creative energy, or was it the other way around?

392-3 Intermediate Design It Yourself: Shawls and Stoles
Shawls, scarves, and stoles can actually be quite easy to design. Learn the different elements and constructions in designing these wonderful accessories and different ways of constructing shawls and stoles in a myriad of shapes: square, rectangle, triangle, circle, semi-circle, shallow triangle, etc. You will also learn how to add decorative stitch patterns whether you want to work your piece inside-out, outside-in, bottom-up or top-down.

688-3 Easy Fun with Stripes and Slipped Twisted Stitch Colorwork
Explore the possibilities of knitting with singular (or multiple) stripe colorwork both in the round and flat. Learn how to create complicated-looking stitch patterns in a background of stripes without the fuss of doing complicated colorwork including making reversible fabrics with motifs on both sides. Learn how to work 2-color cast-on and bind-offs and understand the techniques. You will even start creating your own unique patterning in class as well as a mini-project to work on.
Note: Students must know how to work in the round.

397-3 Intermediate Busting at the Seams
One the hardest areas to shape and modify for most women is the bust area. This is particularly difficult for extra "gifted" women. In this class we will first learn about proper bra fitting and sizing (most women wear the wrong-sized bra!), then we will explore how we can make our knitting fit us, from pattern selection to size selection to modifications. The class will cover different ways in which you can adjust to fit your bust with vertical and horizontal bust darts and the math behind it. Once you know how to shape for your bust, you can easily apply the process to other trouble spots on your body.
