Advanced You should have made several garments in various stitch patters and should comfortable making minor changes to patterns. Advanced is fun and challenging for thinking knitters.

Spreadsheets are perhaps the most powerful tool for a knitwear designer, as they can make designing a sweater in 10 sizes almost as easy as designing a sweater in one size! In this hands-on introduction to spreadsheets, we'll use Microsoft Excel to learn the basics of how spreadsheets work, including naming cells, completing metric conversions, rounding numbers, and setting up basic formulas that calculate stitches, rows, and stitch multiples. You'll begin setting up a powerful, multi-use 'calculator' that can save you hours of work.
