Basic Know basic stitches (knit, purl or single crochet, double crochet).
Easy You should know the basics, how to increase and decrease, and have made at least one project.
Intermediate You should have worked with a few stitch patterns and should be familiar wtih basic garment shaping.
Advanced You should have made several garments in various stitch patters and should comfortable making minor changes to patterns. Advanced is fun and challenging for thinking knitters.
Jill Bigelow Suttell
Jill learned to knit at 10 years old. After a 'teen years' break, she re-learned and has been knitting with a passion ever since. The first sweater she knit was modified, and the next was her own design. Five years as a yarn shop owner gave her a passion for teaching as well as designing. Jill has been an instructor at Stitches East, Knitter's Day Out, Knitter's Connection, Pittsburgh Knit and Crochet
Show and many shops. Her designs can be found in Knitter's Magazine, Cast On and Knitty. She is co-author of An Archive of Squares; 45 mitered squares with color, texture and lace.

6095 Easy Slipped Stitch Mania
Slipped stitch patterns allow you to create the look of 2-color knitting while only using 1 color per row or by adding texture while using only 1 color. Mosaic knitting (one form of slipped stitch patterning) can bring to mind beautiful, Native American fiber art. No stranding, bobbins, or changing color within the row. In this class we will explore different techniques as well as the do's and don'ts of this method of knitting and how to read two types of charts.

Take your cables to the next level by adding color. There are more ways than you might think. Slipped stitches, Fair Isle, and intarsia can all be used to make cables with color. In this class we will explore them all.

Mitered squares provide a great way to use up leftover bits of yarn while adding color and texture to your project. Adding a little lace will totally change the look of your mitered square projects. Learn to read and create lacy mitered charts and tips and tricks to getting great lacy squares. Weâ€™ll discuss using lace miters as accents, as well as for an unshaped (e.g. triangle or rectangle shawl) and shaped garments (e.g. sweaters).
Note: Previous miter experience is necessary.
