Basic Know basic stitches (knit, purl or single crochet, double crochet).
Easy You should know the basics, how to increase and decrease, and have made at least one project.
Intermediate You should have worked with a few stitch patterns and should be familiar with basic garment shaping.
Advanced You should have made several garments in various stitch patterns and should be comfortable making minor changes to patterns. Advanced is fun and challenging for thinking knitters.

We'll have fun exploring what it really means to take a length of string and turn it into a fabric. Add punch to an afghan or make those plain sweaters into something special with a unique crocheted border. Discover the secrets to make crocheted edgings continue around square corners, incorporating the edging design into the corner shaping for an unbroken pattern. We'll practice a number of fun and unique crocheted edgings, including 3-dimensional borders, ruffles and unique crocheted fringe.

Learn techniques for basic types of mitered squares and rectangles. Faster knitters may move on to incorporating stitch patterns and colorwork into your shapes. We'll explore ways to seamlessly arrange your modules into finished garments, accessories, and home dÃ©cor. You'll be captivated. But don't say you haven't been warned!

7067 Intermediate Spreadsheet Savvy
Let your computer handle the math! Spreadsheets are perhaps the most powerful tool for a knit or crochet pattern writer or tech editor. In this hands-on introduction to spreadsheets, we'll use Microsoft Excel to learn the basics of how spreadsheets work, including naming cells, completing metric conversions, rounding numbers, and setting up basic formulas that calculate stitches, rows, stitch multiples and yarn amounts. You'll begin setting up a powerful, multi-use "calculator" that can save you hours of work.
