Easy You should know the basics, how to increase and decrease, and have made at least one project.
Intermediate You should have worked with a few stitch patterns and should be familiar with basic garment shaping.
Advanced You should have made several garments in various stitch patterns and should be comfortable making minor changes to patterns. Advanced is fun and challenging for thinking knitters.

Short rows aren't just for shaping. Placing short rows in sweaters, bags, and anything else you can imagine offer endless possibilities. You'll combine yarns in various colors to create wavy designs without a pattern. Great to combine with other freeform techniques! You'll also learn how to incorporate short rows into existing patterns.
Note: Must be familiar with short row wrap and turn before taking this class.

Ever thought to yourself, â€śIâ€™m just not creative?â€ť or found yourself in a creative slump? This energizing hands-on workshop and lecture will dispel the myths and rekindle your creative fire. Even if you don't think of yourself as an artist, you'll learn how to unleash your creativity using a step-by-step process of color, texture and simple design to take your knitting in different directions. Spend a day exploring a new approach to multi-directional knitting and discover how with just a few measurements and some quick plans, youâ€™ll be off on a true knitting adventure. Starting with a simple T-shirt design that can be modified into a drop sleeve sweater, youâ€™ll learn the steps it takes to create your own spectacular fabric. Stitch your way through different techniques and stitch patterns and go home with a plan and solutions for finishing your own unique design without a written pattern. Be prepared for some serious fun!

3074 Easy Template Based Knitting and/or Crochet
This comprehensive lecture covers knitting and crochet without patterns by using templates instead. Once a proper fitting template has been created, pieces are knit and/or crocheted and fit together to fill in the shapes using an endless variety of yarns and techniques. Various methods of creating templates and how to knit or crochet to exact shapes and sizes will all be covered. Handouts for slopers and templates for various shaped garments will be provided.

3052 Intermediate Creative Knitting: Crazy Quilt Style
Learn how to design and knit in different directions to make a unique fabric based on an overall template rather than a specific pattern. A basic template will be provided to make a pillow or purse, but you'll learn how to make your own clothing templates as well.
Learn to combine triangles, squares, and rectangles to fill your shape like a jigsaw puzzle or traditional crazy quilt. We'll discuss how to knit shapes to exact sizes, ways to join as you go, and finishing and embellishing to complete your wearable work of art. You'll never look at your knitting (or your stash) the same way again!
