Lynn Harris
Lynn lives in Michigan where she creates art, raises chickens, and grows vegetables. Both of Lynn’s parents grew up on farms and, like the little red hen in the children’s story, she was taught to do things from scratch and to never let anything go to waste. Her thrifty upbringing led her to her current style of working with scraps and the desire to use "every last piece." Her quilts have been juried into international shows and gallery exhibits and her work is in private collections around the world. She is the author of Every Last Piece and has also been published in numerous books and magazines.

1134 Easy Intuitive Piecing with Solids When using solids, the emphasis is placed on the shape of each piece of fabric. The lines and shapes become the focus of the quilt rather than the print of a fabric. The mood of the quilt is set by your piecing and color choice, not by a style of print. Working with free-form, improvisational construction, students will create their own, original quilts using easy-to-learn design concepts and techniques including curves, triangles, small wedge shapes, and more! This design class is good for the beginning and advanced, traditional, modern, and art quilter. Come and join the fun as Lynn shows you easy methods for creating your own original quilts.
