> You can do it, but you'll need to do some math to figure out how many stitches to decrease. Multiply the measurements from the schematic by the stitch gauge to determine how many stitches you need for the back and the sleeves. For example, the back of the medium size measures 23" x 5 sts/in = 115 sts. After the increase for the ribbing, you have 136 sts - 115 = 21 sts to decrease for a plain stocking stitch back. The armhole and sleeve shapings will stay the same, as they're worked over stocking stitch anyway, but you'll need to refigure the back neck and shoulders [you can always fudge a few stitches at the last minute!]
