     Description:
The Japanese version of short rows with a Lucy Neatby idea thrown in to make it really easy. Knit to the point where you turn, place a safety pin on the working fiber, not into it. On return row, work to gap (this means knit the last stitch on the needle and the stitch and the pin (which is in the row below are now on the RH needle. Pull up on the pin and there will be a loop, place this loop on the LN and knit the loop and the stitch next to it tog in the regular way. (The pin saves you from having to fish around for that stitch.

On the purl side, repeat the same procedure to the turning point, turn and work back. This time when you are ready to close the gap, pull the pin up for the loop, now do an SSP, slip 2 sts separately as if to knit with working yarn in front, to the RN, slip them back to the LN, then purl the 2 sts tog through the back loops.
