Intro to Double Knitting with Lisa Myers
Double knitting makes a fabric that is reversible and has stockinette on both sides. When worked in two colors, the opposing sides produce a positive/negative look.
It lets you work stranded-color patterns that have no "wrong side", so the length of the floats doesn't matter! The work lies flat without curling at all. Imagine the possibilities: cozy cowls, scarves with no wrong side, beautiful baby blankets with no floats to catch little fingers or toes!
Best of all, it's not difficult. This class will teach you the basic techniques to get you started working double flat or in the round: casting on, managing edges, following color patterns
Note: Must know how to cast on, knit, purl, 'read' knits and purls on the needle, and follow a knitting chart.
__2 contrasting colors of classic worsted-weight (#4) wool or wool-like yarn
