Walking Foot Quilting: Beyond the Ditch with Catherine Redford
Learn how to finish your quilts on your domestic machine while enjoying all the control of a walking foot with the author of Modern Machine Quilting. We will start with a brief discussion of how to prepare your tops for quilting, including marking and basting. Then we will stitch samples of different styles, including modern grids, matchstick quilting, and spirals. Finish with a look at Catherine's work to inspire you to go home and turn your tops into quilts.
Note: Must bring your own sewing machine equipped with a walking foot and have basic knowledge of how to use them. Ironing and cutting stations and serge protectors/extension cords will be provided.
