Intro to Lace Knitting with Lisa Myers
From the simplest eyelet accents to the most complex gossamer-weight shawls, lace patterns create some of the most beautiful knits there are (and sadly, some of the most intimidating.Like any knit, it's really just composed of a small number of basic elements. All you need to create lace is a yarn-over and a couple of different ways to decrease (though an ability to read charted patterns is a great help). This class will teach these basic elements and the fundamental principles of combining them as well as how to read a lace chart. We'll take a developmental approach that gives you the ability to "read" your knitting. Join Lisa and learn the art of making deliberate holes in your knitting! Note: Must know how to cast on, knit, purl, and "read" knits and purls on the needle. Supplies
