Note: Must be comfortable with knit, purl, and cast on stitches.
__4.5mm/US7 double-point, straight, or circular needles
__A ball of a ball of classic, worsted-weight yarn in a light color
__Knitting Basics: Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Stitch markers, Tapestry needles (large and small), Tape measure, Small calculator, Needles and crochet hooks of various sizes
Optional for a head start in class: CO 20 sts. Row 1: Wyif (with yarn in front) sl1 pwise, *k1, p1; repeat from * to last st, k1.
Row 2: Wyif sl1 pwise, *p1, k1; repeat from * to last st, p1.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until work measures 1.5 inches.
