Snowflake Embroidery with Lynn Schmitt
Hand work, and more specifically embroidery, is experiencing a resurgence. This class gives you a wonderful opportunity to explore basic embroidery stitches and work with alternative decorative threads in embroidered Snowflake patterns. Lynn will work with you in perfecting your stitching skills with pointers and hands-on guidance.
The decorative threads now available in multiple weights and finishes are perfect for this contemporary textile. The class will focus on how to best use these threads-what to do and what NOT to do.
Lynn's own set of exclusive Embroidery Guidelines Tools are included in the class kit to help you in marking and executing perfect snowflake spacing. Once complete, take your new-found knowledge and decorate any number of fun winter projects; holiday stockings, garments, quilts, runners, and hand knit apparel can sparkle with a just bit of snowy embroidery.
__Marking tools; pencil w/sharpener and/or white chalk lead marker
__Embroidery hoop, 7"- 9"
__Bring along your stash threads, and if time allows, we might add a bit of beading.
