Learn Rigid Heddle Weaving and Use Up Your Stash with Deborah Jarchow
If you are looking for ways to use up those leftover balls of yarn, this method of weaving is easy, fun, and creative. Learn ways to combine different colors, textures, and fibers as you make a unique and beautiful scarf.
Note: Looms provided for class use.

12" wooden or plastic ruler, tapestry needle, cardboard tube from inside a paper towel role, 2 brown paper grocery bags, yarns from your stash (or new from the market). Bring about 500yds of yarn in a combination of weights, lace to worsted that have a smooth (not hairy) finish in colors that will work together. This should include at least 200 yards of one solid color that blends with the other colors. The warp yarns should be smooth and strong enough to stand tugging with your hands.

Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
