Knits in the Hood with Candace Eisner Strick
Wow, it’s a scarf, it’s a Möbius, it’s a hood. Yes!! It all starts with the Möbius, then it magically turns into a hood so you can keep your neck and head warm without anything falling off. The mathematical equation for a Möbius is a mile long, but you don’t need to know math to knit a masterpiece. Don’t worry about the cast-on—Candace’s version is so simple even her parrot can do it.
About 3 ounces of worsted weight yarn, #8 (5mm) circular needle at least 47" in length (this measurement is the cable portion plus the needle tips). Nothing shorter will work.
Note: Please bring a circular needle that has a thin and flexible cable. If your needle is brand new make sure to straighten out the cable portion by dipping in hot water. If you come to class with the cable all kinked you will be very unhappy!!
Knitting Basics including sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles and crochet hooks of various sizes.
