Intro to Ikat Knitting or Crochet with Laura Bryant
If you have ever wanted to fool around with patterning hand-dyed yarn, Ikat knitting or crochet is the easiest introduction. Spend three fast-paced hours swatching Ikat-dyed yarns using several different approaches to design; along the way you will gain skill at manipulating colors, forcing them to do your will. Lots of design options will be discussed and illustrated.
Supplies
_4.5 mm/US 7 circular needle or size G crochet hook, bring a few other sizes.__Colored pens and pencils _Knitting/Crochet Basics: Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Stitch markers, Tapestry needles (large and small), Tape measure, Small calculator, Needles and crochet hooks of various sizes. Homework
None.Materials fee: $10 for Ikat-dyed yarns. |
