Cherry Roll Vine with Karla Overland
Give your left brain a "coffee break" with a wall-hanging that looks more complex than it is! The simplicity of the design is enhanced by gorgeous, rich colors of hand-dyed fabric. This project gets a jump-start with the die-cut strips provided in the kit.
Karla will teach raw-edge applique with a satin-stitch or zig-zag finish using variegated thread. Design techniques, variations and color theory will be discussed throughout the class. Some students may finish the top by the end of class. Finishing techniques will be discussed to complete the hanging at home, including zig-zag quilting. Design variations will be discussed, as well as color theory and Karla's unique dyeing process.
