Intarsia and duplicate stitch allow you to place color into your knitting.
Learn intarsia basics and how to read a chart. Learn how to twist yarns to prevent holes, how to weave in your ends to prevent gaps, how to keep your bobbins straight, and so much more!
Duplicate stitch allows you to add fine details into your work by stitching over the fabric. Learn both techniques and when to use each method to make flawless pictoral knits. The possibilities are endless!
_3 contrasting colors of smooth, classic worsted-weight (#4) yarn that does not split easily
_Appropriate needles to match yarn weight
_(Optional) magnetic chart board and/or highlighter tape is helpful, but not required
__Knitting Basics: Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Stitch markers, Tapestry needles (large and small), Tape measure, Small calculator, Needles and crochet hooks of various sizes
Using the yarn you want to be your main color and matching needles, cast on 30 stitches and knit 6 rows. Leave stitches on the needle with yarn attached.
