Tiny Piecing: Improv with Lynn Harris
Join Lynn as she shares a number of techniques for small-scale piecing. These skills will lead you to stress-free quilts that grow from tiny bits of fabric. Techniques include floating squares, skinny spike borders, skinny inserts, small curved pieces and miniature log cabin variations. These small compositions made in class can become a pincushion, pouch pillow, or grow into a full-size quilt.
Note: Machines provided for use in class.
_A variety of small pieces of solid and small scale prints. Scraps work great. You can also bring one or two fat quarters of a contrast fabric for background
_Patchwork/Quilting Basics: Needles, Thread, Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Tape measure, Seam ripper, Pins, Rotary cutter and mat
Materials fee: $5 for pre-wound bobbins of a thread that is good for small-scale piecing AND pre-cut, one-inch squares for tiny piecing play.
