Now you can put your hands on long-favorite sweaters, articles, techniques, and features. This is Knitter's Index for issues 1-61 (through Winter 2000). We're sure you'll find more uses for the Knitter's Magazine Index than we ever imagined possible. You'll wonder how you could have lived without it for so long!
You will also find this as a downloadable PDF document HERE. There's so much invaluable information, from A to Z (Barbara Abbey to Elizabeth Zimmermann), the index is a virtual "Who's Who" of knitting.
How can you best use the Index? We've broken it down into three workable sections: by Subject, by Author, and by Issue. For example, if you are looking for a Fair Isle cardigan you have options. You can use the Subject Index and refer to Colorwork, Fair Isle. You can also go to Sweaters, Cardigans, and Jackets. Or if you know that the Fair Isle cardigan was designed by Lori Ihnen, go to the Author Index and look under Ihnen. You'll find Lori's cardigan, 'Suitable Fair Isle' in Knitter's 44 on pages 80-82.
The Issue index is equally helpful. Suppose you know you saw a sweater in the Summer 1992 issue, but you can't remember the designer's name. You can also use this index section to remind yourself of features in issues you already own.
